Japanese Cooking Contest
New York
City on November 13, 2005
I
would like to invite you and your staff
to join us for a very exciting cooking
contest called “Go-Han in New York”
sponsored by JA-Zenchu and NHK Japan Broadcasting
Corporation. This 90-minute TV show is
an “iron-chef” like contest
with three selected finalists from across
the country based on the quality of their
recipes using Japanese rice in 3 categories
(hot/sushi/dessert). The final contest
will be filmed before a live studio audience
in New York City on November 13, 2005
and will be broadcasted nationwide throughout
Japan.
The winner will receive a “Chefs’
Dream Come True” culinary tour for
two in Tokyo, personally guided by me,
including the following and more…
* A live appearance in a famous cooking
show on Japanese Public Television
*
A guided tour of the famous Tsukiji Fish
Market & Rice Pavilion in Ginza
*
Festive gourmet banquets, including a formal
Kaiseki dinner served on exquisite hand
made pottery with regional sakes
*
Visiting Nihonbashi, Tokyo’s restaurant
equipment area to see all the beautiful
lacquer ware, special serving plates and
Japanese knives
*
A guided tour of Roppongi Hills, the newest
and hip area of Tokyo and taste: some new
style sushi, authentic Yakitori grilled
over live charcoal and the best chocolate
shop in Tokyo
*
Visiting 2 best cookbook stores in Roppongi
